Welcome! The road is the destination, thus this this blog has re-focussed on reviews of night trains and ferries — commencing in my hometown of Leipzig in central Germany and leading to the four corners of Europe, North America and Asia.

Check out my latest trip reports on a sturdy working ferry to Tunis, a cruise ferry to Iceland, and on the maritime part of Japan’s Highway #58 from Kagoshima to Okinawa.

I have reviewed several trips on the ÖBB Nightjet (Augsburg, Zurich, and Vienna) as well as the epic Artic Circle Train from Stockholm to Abisko.

Occasionaly, I still fly, e. g. from Dubai to Osaka on Emirates’ stunning Premium Economy.
